My Little Girl is Five!

Here is Annie on her B-Day riding her new big-girl bike. I can't believe she is five -- how time flies. The other day we were discussing the fact that Ma B's dog Buddy is now in doggy heaven where he gets to run around and play all day and eat yummy treats. Annie asked me, "Mommy, will I get to eat lots of sugar without getting sick when I go to Heaven?" So yes, she's still a sugar fiend (to wit: last night we got home from eating pizza and when she was getting out of the car she asked if she could have desert, Ma B had made banana cream pie. I said yes. From the garage, she yelled, "I can smell that pie right now - mmmmm.").
The last photo feature's Annie's cop belt. Yes, I said cop belt. For months she has been infatuated with being a cop. We have dozens of plastic gold and silver cop badges and now she has a whole cop get-up complete with radio, handcuffs, and a night stick which we call a speed radar, thanks to Nanny Nicole. She carries around a little ticket pad and clips a pen and a badge on her shirt and makes sure everyone is following the law! I told her I had to sign her up for her own ACLU card. She of course asked what the ACLU was. I told her they are the cops that police the cops. Several weeks went by and she asked me, "Mommy, where's my cop card?" When I told her I had no idea what she was talking about, her frustration built. She kept saying "that card, for the cops." She finally said, "remember you going to get me that card." It finally registered. So now she carries around my ACLU membership card with her too.

Summer in Boise with the Wadsworth's

We had a great time hanging out with the Wadsworth's in Boise a couple of weekends ago. Look how cute these cuties are -- Ellie, Bea, Harry and Annie.
